Join us for "Power Lab", our summer Vacation Bible School adventure this week!

Power Lab is Vacation Bible School for kids who are at least 4 years old through those that just finished 5th grade. The Lab promises Unforgettable Bible Learning, Friendships and Life Transformations. Begin the day with Sonic Sing and Play—a kid friendly worship to introduce the theme of the day and to sing, play and update the kids about the church in Oregon , whose children’s ministry we will help launch. Using the fun of science and “experiments,” children will grow in their faith, learning about the power God gives to us. Time throughout the morning is spent in small group learning, games, “test tube treat” snacks, arts & crafts, and a variety of activities.

Bring a friend, or if you are Dr. Frankenstein, create a friend to bring. The fun will be at the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills on 6/23 to 6/27 from 9 to 11:30 AM. The week wraps up with a cookout on the evening of Friday, June 27 where families can see and learn all we were up to throughout the week. Volunteers needed to teach, run activities, help with snacks, set up, clean up, and for a variety of specialty roles.

Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.

Heifer International Update

Christ Lutheran Church has earned over $4,148.00 earned so far… Heifer International is an organization worldwide, that donates farm animals to impoverished families. When the animal gives birth, the family donates the offspring to another needy family. It's a worldwide version of Paying It Forward. Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills is earning money to buy an ARK, which is a gift of $5,000. The goal was met last year and is well underway this spring. Visit the Heifer mural in the west hallway of the first floor of the church. The mural represents the progress made in earning money to support Heifer, International. Each square is tagged with a dollar amount. Once that amount is earned, the square is painted with color by artist Jenny Babyar.
