The Treasures for Christ Women’s Banquet is Friday, May 10th
6pm Appetizers, 7pm Dinner in the Fellowship Hall of Christ Lutheran Church

Each spring, the women’s ministry at Christ Lutheran Church hosts a women’s banquet to celebrate the women we treasure and the treasures each of us embody. We celebrate the richness of friendship and the relationships in our lives. We also rejoice in the treasures that are evident, and the those buried deep within ourselves. At this special event we will also thank God for other treasures as well - talented performances and delicious food prepared and served by men of the congregation to show appreciation for all the richness these women lend to us. ALL women of ALL ages are invited. We encourage you to bring friends and family to join in on the celebration on Friday, May 10th. You won't want to miss this special evening filled with great food, talent and women of faith.

Remus Badea will play musical selections on his violin to entertain you during dinner. Remus is the founder and director of AMI, American Music Institute, which offers music and voice lessons to people of all ages. Christ Lutheran is a site for AMI. Remus is also Concertmaster of Southwest Symphony Orchestra and an adjunct professor at Elmhurst College.

Following dinner, Master of Ceremonies Craig Felde will introduce a variety of talented performances where members of the congregation will share their talents. You will hear talented daughters singing songs, and young musicians performing for their grandmothers. Poetry, dance and a variety of other talents may be among the treasures shared. Craig and his wife Betsy  will open with their own performance. Be prepared as everyone will be invited to join in the singing by the evening.

Dinner fit for a Queen! Chef Ron Niemer, along with his crew will be whipping up dinner, which will be served family style by the handsome men of CLC. On the menu are appetizers, sangria, salad, baked chicken breast, rice medley, steamed vegetables, decaf coffee, tea and water, and dessert. A vegetarian entree will also be offered. Anyone with a dietary restriction should contact Annette Armstrong.

Invite your mothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, girlfriends and neighbors to this special night. God has blessed us with "family" some who are related by birth, and others who are related by baptism. We are all treasured by HIM.

Tickets: $15 for adults $10 for children. Purchase tickets at Sunday worship services or through the church office.

Women Who Brunch: One Saturday a month at 10am you can join the Women Who Brunch for good food and good fellowship while we discuss topical bible stories. This is a stand alone bible study - no prep work needed.
