Christ Lutheran Church supports the People's Resource Center in Westmont. The Men's Club sells coupon books during Carson's Community Days, and donates 100% of the proceeds to People's Resource Center and other support services.

Last year, when some of the volunteers found out that food pantry clients rationed toilet paper, because it was so costly, the Men's Club held a "Paper for the People" fundraising event. People donated toilet paper, or gave monetary donations for the food pantry to purchase toilet paper. Several hundreds of rolls were donated and purchased.

Judy Wolthausen, the Christ Lutheran Church Council President,  is a job coach at People's Research Center.  If you know anyone who lives in DuPage County and is out of work, this job coaching could provide them help creating a resume, writing cover letters, finding job leads on the internet or help with interviewing skills, including practice interviewing.  For more information on People's' Resource Center, log onto:
